Paul & Joe Fall 2010

Paul & Joe have just released the cutest make up collection I have ever laid my eyes on for Fall 2010. The kitty head lipsticks are my favourite although they are probably a bit awkward & too adorable to use! The packaging is lovely & the whole collection is called 'Clair de Lune' & is inspired by the Parisian skyline. Urban Outfitters will be stocking this collection and you can also purchase from online stores such as www.beautyhabit.com & www.dermstore.com

Ralph Lauren

Ralph Lauren' fall collection has to be one of my favourites for the winter season. Overall, the theme for his collection was equestrian inspired, a look perfect for morning strolls in the countryside & very bohemian. He also followed the trend for floral maxis, teaming floaty dresses with beaded beanies & lace gloves. I love the warm autumn colours that have been used & I think the collection would look great in the approaching cold season. It also has a touch of nineties grunge to it- pairing pretty floaty dresses with boyish tweed jackets & lace up leather boots., mixing masculine with feminine.

Try this maxi in autumn shades from www.eighty7.com for just £35 & layer over a black roll neck jumper.

Holly Fulton

AW10
Holly Fulton is a new designer making a big impact on the industry, having just won 'Next Young Designer' at The Elle Style Awards and the Swarovski Emerging Talent award at the British Fashion Awards . She is best known for her bold prints, her last collection was inpsired by the Manhattan skyline & she produced skyscraper print dresses in yellows and burnt oranges.
Come fall & she was inspired by art deco, 80s cinematic prints and the swinging sixties, the era that bought us Twiggy & The Beatles. For her newest collection, Fulton stuck to black and white prints with touches of turquoise, orange and yellows. She used a variety of textures including snakeskin, silk and patent leather & accessorized with her excellently OTT jewlerry.

Jessica Hart

Jessica Hart is my new celebrity style crush. The Australian model runs a fashion blog, updating it daily on what shes wearing. She also includes photos from her wordly travels as life as a model. She is even starting her own line called Neon Hart.

Claudia & Karl

Karl Lagerfield & the original supermodel, Claudia Schiffer have been a collaborative pair for many years & they have now released a photographic book, dedicated to themselves & the work they have presented in the fashion photography industry. There are 6 different covers to choose from & the books includes many photographs of Schiffer throughout the decades of her modelling career, takem by Karl of course. Claudia's career has spanned many years, starting in the late eighties with other familiar faces including Christy Turlington, Cindy Crawford & Naomi Campbell.

Kurt Geiger

Kurt Geiger have released these adorable bunny-print platforms on par with the brilliance that is Miu Miu. At £130 they are quite pricey but they can transform any plain jane outfit & they are bang on trend.

Drew

Drew Barrymore looks absolutely stunning in this boho-style floral maxi. The red 50s platforms really set off the outfit aswell. Its definetely one of my favourite celebrity looks recently. Casual ponytails are also extremely popular at the moment too.

The Clash

A big trend for this summer is the clashing of patterns, colours, texture & materials.. & just being kookier & quirkier than ever before. Designers, stylists & general fashionistas are daring to be different & playing dress up with bolder & brighter clothes. Take note from Henry Holland who in his last few collections, has stayed true to his fun & playful aesthetic. For his most recent, he took inspiration from downtown New York & his collection was sporty but sexy.

Marina Diamandis & MIA demonstrate this summer eccentric look perfectly & reference designers such as Cassette Playa & Noki for inspiration. Namalee Bolle is also a great influence, she is editor of nu-rave magazine Super Super & muse to Basso & Brooke.

I love this editorial from Cooler magazine which showcases a sporty streetwear style, whilst clashing colours & prints much like Henry Holland for summers biggest trend. I love the icecream coloured lipstick too!

Marchesa

The Marchesa AW10 collection is flawless. Designer Georgina Chapman was inspired by the performer and courtesan Lola Montez whilst she travelled in search for love & she used floaty feathers, beading & LOTS of lace! Marchesa dresses are the ultimate prom dresses, they're beautiful & jaw-dropping. Clients include Hollywoods hottest including Jessica Alba & Anne Hathaway.

Freestyle magazine

I recently saw this editorial on Grace Woodward's blog- the fiery stylist on the new series of Britains Got Talent. She styled this shoot for the circular magazine 'Freestyle' & I'm in love with the results- shot by Julia Kennedy. She concentrated on nudes & reds a la Givenchy, both popular colour trends for this summer.Grace has style Florence & The Machine as well as working for The Sunday Times supplement magazine, Style, Elle & Nylon.

Mulberry Party

Alexa Chung & Kelly Osbourne at the Mulberry L.A pool party, to celebrate creative director Emma Hills newest collection. I love how effortlessly fashionable Alexa looks in a silk shirt and denim shorts combo.

Robert Cavalli

His campaign for his AW10 collection, for which he was inspired by the 'rich, hippie' look. Pieces were structured & romantic but also appeared rustic & antique.

Dior

Hail John Galliano & his film noir theme for Dior. Probably my favourite summer collection, his woman was based on femme fatale with Hollywood waves & red painted lips. Galliano showed seductive lingerie pieces, concentrating on the underwear as outerwear trend, but ended with flirty playsuits and stunning embellished chiffon gowns.

Love this look.
